1. Do you accept dogs?

We accept up to 2 well-behaved dogs only by arrangement at the time of booking. There is a £20 a week charge for each dog. Dogs must not be allowed in bedrooms or on furniture or left barking. They must not be left unattended in the cottage or the gardens. Please make sure your dog is not annoying other guests.

2.  Is there parking on site?

There is free unlimited on street parking in front of the cottages (subject to availability). You can also park on Cargate Hill (restricted in summer, unrestricted in winter). We do not have any off road parking. There is more information on our Filey parking page.

3. Are the cottages suitable for the disabled?

The cottages are similar to a normal two storey house. They have a normal set of stairs with banister or handrails all the way on one side. There are also steps at most cottage doors.  All cottages have a single step inside somewhere in the cottage.  There is a downstairs bedroom in Silverline with a downstairs ensuite  ( washbasin, toilet and shower}. The door to the living room in Silverline is slightly narrower than the standard width.

5. Where exactly in Filey are you and how close to the beach?

We are in the middle of Filey sea front . Our address is 24 The Beach which says it all. Cross the road and down a slipway and you are on the safe sandy beach. The town is a short walk up Cargate Hill (200m). There is a full range of shops including three small supermarkets.

6. Is your WiFi any good?

We have a VDSL (fibre) connection which normally runs at around 28 to 30 Mb/s and is shared across the three cottages and nobody else. We have two modern fast Asus wireless routers so a signal can be accessed in most rooms but not all. Of course like any IT system we cannot guarantee the connection, speed or compatibility. However we do realise that it is important to some people and do endeavour to maintain a good connection. We also have spare routers which we can use should one fail .

7. What about cleaning when we leave

We do expect you to clean the cottage before departure and offer the following guidance.
